Dupuch & Turnquest & Co. is one of the oldest and most respected Law Firms in The Bahamas.   

We enjoy an international reputation earned in over fifty (50) years of practice commencing in 1948 when our late Founding Partner, the Honourable E. A. P. Dupuch, C.B.E., Q.C., entered legal practice. Our other Founding Partner, Sir Orville A. Turnquest, KCMG, Q.C., is presently Consultant Counsel in the Firm and has previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Attorney General, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, and Governor General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS COMPANY SERVICES

The Freeport Office has specialized in incorporation and general banking services to these Companies and the Corporate Department is headed by Senior Partner, Terence R. H. Gape.  

Our Firm would be pleased to provide legal services to you with regard to the Incorporation of an IBC in the Bahamas.

Should you require us to provide Officers and Directors for your Company a fee of $600.00 per year is essential. Incorporation Fee includes filing the Memorandum and Articles of Association,  Corporate Seal, Share Booklets, and miscellaneous expenses; such as, photocopies, faxes, thus totaling approximately $1,800.

The annual charge of $1,550 includes Registered Agent Charges, Annual Taxes payable to the Bahamas Government and provision of Officers and Directors; this is payable by the first of January each year for the period 1st January to the 31st December.

We also provide the services attendant to the opening of Bank Account (s).  The Signatory (ies) to the Account (s) is/are required to meet with the Bankers in person providing a Passport identification and a personal interview and references from your Bankers before the Bank Account is opened.   We will be pleased to arrange this interview for you.

To commence the process, please provide us with at least two (2) name choices.  Incorporation can take place generally in three - five days.

ABOUT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS COMPANIES

Due to recent Legislation passed in The Bahamas we are now able to offer to our Non-Bahamian Clients the advantages of the above Companies at a moderate cost. These Companies have the following abilities/advantages:

1. The Company has the ability to trade in any Country or Currency other than The Bahamas except that it can maintain Accounts and it's Administrative Office here;

2. There is no reporting to any Agency of the Company's ownership or activities. Therefore complete anonymity can be provided;

3. The Company is guaranteed freedom from TAXATION for twenty (20) years;

4. Exchange Control Regulations do not apply to any transaction between Shareholders;

5. Two (2) persons instead of five (5) are required as Incorporators and Shares are transferable at will;

6. Directors and Shareholders Meetings may be held by telephone or other means;

7. The Company is empowered (inter alia) to issue registered shares bearing varied rights, options, warrants and securities.

8. The Company may purchase, redeem or otherwise acquire its own shares;

9. No annual reporting is required to the Registrar General thus the Company's records are available only to Shareholders.
