The Government has granted $300,000 to the Bahamas National Trust to expand public access to Harold and Wilson Pond Parks, Bonefish Pond, and the wetlands at Skyline Drive using pine from the local forest, Environment Minister Earl Deveaux confirmed.

He said the grant was part of the Government’s Economic Stimulus Package.

As a result, the Trust has acquired a bandsaw to be used to cut timber from the forests to construct boardwalks and other recreational facilities similar to those at Harold and Wilson Pond Parks.
