Hurricane Ike

Bahamasair wishes to advise its loyal passengers that as a result of Hurricane Ike moving towards the Islands of the Bahamas, there have been some changes in the operation for Saturday September 6 and Sunday September 7, 2008.

Saturday September 6, 2008

All flights will operate as scheduled with Bahamasair providing one extra section to Crooked Island and one extra section to Provo.
These extra sections are intended to clear any back log of passengers who were unable to return to Nassau on their scheduled flights as a result of Tropical Storm Hanna.

Crooked Island
Extra Section
Nassau to Crooked Island will depart at 6:30am.
Crooked Island to Nassau will depart at 8:00am

Provo
Extra Section
Nassau to Provo will depart at 9:15am
Provo to Nassau will depart at 11:30am

On Sunday September 7, 2008
All flights will operate as scheduled with the exception of those listed below.

The flight to Deadman’s Cay and Stella Maris, Long Island will depart at 9:00 am instead of 2:00pm

Nassau to Provo at 9:15am is cancelled

Nassau to Georgetown Exuma at 6:30pm is cancelled

Nassau to Ft. Lauderdale at 7:00pm is cancelled

Nassau to Miami at 7:30pm is cancelled

Nassau to Freeport at 7:00pm is cancelled

Freeport to Ft. Lauderdale at 6:00pm is cancelled

Hurricane Ike is continuing its approach towards the Bahamas and we must take every precaution to ensure the safety of our staff and aircraft. Bahamasair will cease operations on Monday, September 8 and Tuesday September 9 and resume in the early afternoon of Wednesday September 10 once the all clear is given by the relevant Government Agencies.
