BRUSSELS — The Mission of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the European Communities announced that on Monday, December 8, 2008, His Excellency Paul H. Farquharson, Bahamas High Commissioner to London, presented his Letters of Credence to the Acting President of the Council of the European Union, Jean-Pierre Jouyet, French Minister of State with responsibility for European Affairs, thus concluding the procedure for his presentation of Credentials to the European Communities.
The presentation took place during a brief ceremony at the Headquarters of the Council of the European Union in Brussels at 4 p.m. After the event, the Acting President and High Commissioner Farquharson engaged in a brief exchange, in which they both commented on the healthy state of relations between The Bahamas and the European Union. Frank Davis, First Secretary & Consul, accompanied his Excellency.
