Nassau, Bahamas – Public Works and Transport Minister the Hon. Neko Grant advised that the Ministry proposes to provide shelter accommodations for United States visa applicants.
Minister Grant disclosed that in short order the Government will award a contract for the construction of a shed and seating facilities for clients of the United States Embassy to The Bahamas on Queen Street.
“We are pleased that the U.S. Embassy has offered no objection to constructing this facility. U.S. Visa applicants have had to stand exposed to the elements for any length of time waiting to be processed. We propose to bring relief to this situation,” said Minister Grant.
